<NR>From the moment man was so abruptly deposited upon this inhospitable ball of organic debris, he has been at war with a relentless enemy. An invisible foe that is constantly devising fresh new methods to thwart his progress in dominating the land. That enemy’s name is Mother Nature. She has culled more lives than every war combined, and can strike at any moment without warning.
Humans cannot replicate themselves fast enough before Nature comes waltzing into the picture to wipe another few thousand of us off the face of the earth without reason. Humans are no match for nature’s deadly arsenal. If the tsunamis, floods, earthquakes, and cyclones weren’t bad enough, we also have to contend with Gaia’s bottomless stockpile of biological weapons. Our frail human bodies are no match for the millions of infectious, contagious and communicable diseases Earth has lovingly hand-crafted in order to torture and murder as many of us as she possibly can.
Don’t expect a warm welcome if you decide to go for a care-free jaunt through Nature’s uncivilized war-zone. She has even outfitted her territory with millions of animal species that seem to hate us just as much as she does. The animals present will either attack you or run from you in fear. Don’t even bother trying to reason with them. They are impervious to logic and only operate on the commands of our eternal enemy, Mother Nature herself.
If that was not unpleasant enough, Nature also has an enormous battalion of aggressive, poisonous, disease-infested insects, reptiles and rodents at the ready who are just itching to infuse our fragile human bodies with even more pain, disease and death. You are better off sitting at home twiddling with the applications on your new phone than to saunter haughtily through the savage wilderness waiting for one of natures war thugs to take a shot at your expendable human life.
As we constantly attempt to assert our dominance over nature, she almost always finds a way to infiltrate our world and make our lives hell right down to the molecular level. I say we just kill all of her allies and pave over the whole bit, putting an end this eternal conflict once and for all. Man should be free to walk down well lit paved streets and swim in man made lakes without worry over being assaulted by one of natures primal beasts.
